Sen. Lautenberg joins NJ Transit workers to announce the signing of a new federal funding commitment from the U.S. Department of Transportation to support the largest mass transit project in the country. The Mass Transit Tunnel (MTT), which will provide a new commuter rail line under the Hudson River, is expected to create 6,000 new construction-related jobs every year through 2017. (August 14, 2009)
